St. Louis Arch...The Film

As a child growing up in Missouri and visiting St. Louis often, an Arch visit was always on our agenda.

Underneath the Arch is a museum, shops, and theatres. In one theatre, a documentary shows how the Arch was constructed. To me, this was a wonder! Find out what happens when the builders get to the top and the two arch ends do not meet...

I would highly recommend this film, Monument to the Dream by Charles Guggenheim.

FACT: The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot catenary Arch made of stainless steel. The Arch is 75 feet taller than the Washington Monument and more than twice as tall as the Statue of Liberty.
